Full & Part Time Visitor Information and Bookings Assistants

We need additional help from now until the end of December operating our bookings office, which is open seven days a week.  We are exceptionally busy at this time of year, answering visitor queries and taking event and House & Garden bookings for our popular Christmas season.  Working hours will be 9.30am to 5pm daily.

Commis Chef - Five Arrows Hotel

The Five Arrows Hotel is a sixteen bedroom hotel situated in the Buckinghamshire village of Waddesdon. It was built in the 1870s by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to form part of the model village which was overlooked by his country house, Waddesdon Manor.

The Hotel’s Chefs are responsible for implementing all aspects of food policy in the Hotel’s 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

The Commis Chef must aid the Head Chef in implementing all aspects of food policy in the Hotel.

Curator (Decorative Arts)

We are looking for a full-time Curator (Decorative Arts) to contribute to the care, research and interpretation of the collection. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a commitment to scholarship, a track record of research and a passionate interest in interpretation for a diversity of audiences, with expertise in at least one area of the collection of decorative arts and the ability to develop expertise in the others.

Full and/or Part Time Gallery Assistant(s)

Gallery Assistants are needed at the Stables Coach House, looking after our Christmas installation ensuring the security of the works of art an providing information for our visitors.  The Gallery Assistants will be the main point of contact with whom the visitors will interact when inside the exhibition space and therefore this role is vital in creating a friendly, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, enabling visitors to enjoy the experience.

The main duties are to open and close the exhibition space daily and to maintain presentation standards; to ensure the security of the exhibition by supervising visitors within the space and ensuring the works are not touched; and answer visitor questions or direct them to appropriate interpretation information.

Ledger Clerk (full time)

Our Accounts Department is an extremely busy environment which provides a general accountancy service and management information for all the businesses based at the Manor.  We have a vacancy for a Ledger Clerk who will be primarily responsible for the efficient maintenance of our sales ledger for all operations at the Manor. They will also assist in the general administration of the purchase ledger and the cash management.

A full-time position, working Wednesday to Sunday & Bank Holidays, to join our busy catering team which provides fresh cooked meals for our two visitor restaurants and food-to-go outlets. Collection Security Assistant (seasonal role)

We are looking for part-time Collection Security Assistants to fill this new seasonal post. You'll be responsible primarily for ensuring the House and Collection is secured when open to the public. Working closely with our Visitor Services Assistant Manager and the Assistant Security & Transport Manager you'll ensure our Security policy and procedures are followed and enacted within the Collection.
