In 1891 Waddesdon had an indoor staff of 50 and over 60 gardeners. Curators Rachel Boak and Diana Stone examine the complex arrangements needed to run a major late 19th-century house and estate. From the scullery to the butler's pantry, from the housekeeper and steward with their spacious offices to the nightwatchman on his rounds, the day includes a tour of some of the behind-the-scenes areas of the Manor.
