To mark the end of the main House season we have a packed programme of events and activities, all designed to take you back to the 18th century. In the House, come and meet Queen Marie-Antoinette and men and women from the 18th century. In the Gardens, why not get your face painted and listen to story telling.

'300 Years Ago' Performances
Location: Coach House
Time: 12.00-3.00
A showcase of the final play developed by young people taking part in our '300 Years Ago' drama project. For more information about taking part please visit Drama Workshop
Story Telling for 0 to 5 Year Olds
Time: 2.00, 3.00 and 4.00 Location: Carpet Patch (wet weather option The Power House)
Come along and listen to a fun story based on characters and animals who would have lived and worked in the house or in the gardens; the housekeeper, the cook, the maids, the porter and the gardeners, the cows at The Dairy, the horses at the Stables and the birds at the Aviary. Children must be accompanied.
The Big Draw
Time: 11.00-4.00
Location: The Power House
All ages and abilities are welcome to come along and take part in 'The Big Draw' activity which will be taking place all day in the Power House. We will have large scale outlines of key paintings and objects within the collection, hung on the walls and on the floor for you to make your mark on!....draw on them, add colour, pattern, detail, whatever you wish!
Face Painting
