FILMING AT WADDESDON
The Waddesdon Estate
Waddesdon Manor, Dairy and Estate are in the village of Waddesdon located on the A41 between Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire and Bicester in Oxfordshire. It is 45 miles from London, 20 from Oxford and 70 from Birmingham, and easily accessible by road with the M40 only ten miles away. Aylesbury, Oxford and Birmingham provide frequent train services to London and other destinations. Heathrow, Birmingham and Luton airports are all approximately an hours drive away. Helicopter landing facilities are available on the estate. Waddesdon is not below any commercial flight paths. It has ample parking facilities and can accommodate large production crews.
Waddesdon Manor
Waddesdon Manor is built in the style of a 16th century, French Renaissance-style château of the Loire and has wine cellars modelled on private vaults of Bordelais vineyards. The Dairy is also French in tone but has a Germanic accent to its steeply pitched roofs. There are over 7 miles of quiet roads and lanes only used by estate and farm traffic, unusual estate buildings and stunning views over the Vale of Aylesbury. Scenes from Daniel Deronda, Cambridge Spies and the Bollywood movie Kabhi Khushi Khabie Gham were filmed at Waddesdon Manor.
Below are examples of the rooms available for filming. If you would like to view Waddesdon Manor or the Gardens as a possible film, TV or photography location please contact:
