Have a look out in the gardens for Chesham Park Choir and Chesham Park Story Tellers who will be performing throughout the day in various locations in the Gardens.

The Pantaloons will be performing Romeo and Juliet in the Gardens, starting at 2.30, please listen out for announcements on the day as to where they will be, come along and watch this amazingly, orginal show!

12.30-12.50: 'Doors'
Everyone passes through a doorway every day, but where will that doorway lead? An improvisation of Music, dance and drama exploring the very possibilities of that question

1.10-1.30: West Side Story
Westside story is the award winning adaptation of the classic romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet. The two warring New York City gangs - the White Jets led by Riff (Adam Mitchell) and the Puerto Rican Sharks, led by Bernardo (Ankush Khanna) battled for territory and respect. Their hatred escalated to the point where neither could coexist with any form of understanding. But then Riff's best friend (and former Jet) Tony (Ant Marulanda-Carter) and Bernardo's younger sister Maria (Isabel Patterson) met at a dance, no one could do anything to stop their love. Was this love affair doomed to failure? Today we have a medley of our version of this well-known classic

4.30-4.50: Holtspur School Choir
Formed in October 2007 with a group of 12 children the choir, under the direction of Mark Selwood and Jackie Bennell, have grown in number to 55 and have taken on numerous engagements including appearing at the O2 on 1 July 2009.
 
5.10-5.30: African Song and Drumming
The Drumming group comprises of 2 schools - Waddesdon Village Primary and Wingrave CE Combined. Both schools participate in the KS2 Wider Opportunities programme - on offer to all KS2 children to give them all a first musical experience and the chance to enjoy making music with others, to drum some African rhythms and sing some African songs which relate to everyday events in life but which also celebrate special occasions too!
 
6.10-6.30: Song Spiral
Four schools come together to sing a selection of songs from around the world which formed 'Song Spiral'' performed by a mass choir of 750 Buckinghamshire children as part of Echoes 3 in the Royal Albert Hall

1.40-1.50: Love Poem
The piece is based on picture/poem from Banksy. The piece will explore love and jealousy/paranoia caused by modern technology. The piece was performed at the national competition Rock Challenge. Students were awarded prizes in the categories of "Best Performance Skills" and "Best Concept"
