Welcome Talks
Join Waddesdon staff member Dale on the North Front near the Fountain for a short 10-minute introductory talk. Dale will give a brief history of Waddesdon Manor and the Rothschild Family, followed by helpful information on how to make the most of your day.
Times: every day at 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am, 12noon, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2pm. No booking required, just turn up. The talks will take place regardless of the weather!
Garden
Manor Garden walk & talk
An informal insight into some of the garden highlights and its history led by one of our Garden Guides.
Duration: 45 mins
Available: 11.30am, Wed-Sun. Meet in the Manor Shop Courtyard.
Garden Sculpture walk
Take a tour of the historical and contemporary sculptures in the gardens with one of our Garden Guides.
Duration: 45 mins
Available: 1.30pm every Wed. Meet in the Manor Shop Courtyard.
Water Garden walk
Explore the beautiful private water garden at the Dairy with one of our Garden Guides.
Duration: 45 mins
Available: 1.30pm, every Thurs. Meet in the Stables Courtyard.
Please note: the Water Garden terrain is not recommended for those with any walking difficulties. The tour is limited to 20 visitors. We may occasionally need to exchange this tour with a Manor Garden walk, subject to restrictions.
Wine
The Art of Wine (film)
A rolling presentation on 'The Art of Wine'.

Wine Cellar Tour
Take a tour of the Wine Cellars and see where Lord Rothschild stores over 15,000 bottles of wine - one of the largest collections in the country.

Aviary
The Aviary Keeper's talk
Meet the Aviary Keeper and find out how we take care of our collection of rare and endangered birds.

History
The Rothschilds and Waddesdon (film)
A rolling presentation that explores the role of the Rothschilds at Waddesdon and the history of the Manor.

House
Spotlight House tours
Meet one of the Manor's expert staff and look at a particular aspect of the Manor, such as its history, collection or care. This might include a new acquisition, a conservation project or collection highlights, or one of the many personalities connected with the Manor.
Duration: approx 20 mins
Available: 12pm, Wed-Fri. Meet in the Oval Hall inside the Manor.
Free with House entry. Numbers are limited. Tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Windmill Hill Open Afternoons
Windmill Hill is our new research and archive centre and home for the philanthropic work of the Rothschild Foundation. It is ten minutes from the Manor by car, or you can reach it on foot. You can explore the exterior of the building at any time, or see inside during an open afternoon every Friday during the main season.
Available: 2pm-4pm, from Fri 29 Mar - Fri 25 Oct.
