THE WINE CELLARS
The wine cellars were opened as part of the centenary restoration of the Manor, in recognition of the Rothschild family's long wine-making tradition.
Situated beneath the west wing of the House, they are modelled on the private cellar at Château Lafite-Rothschild. Contained within the three brick vaults, their lighting, temperature and humidity kept constant, lay over fifteen thousand bottles, one of the finest collections of Rothschild wines in the world.
